Tiles For Hope

20170221_135927If you give a donation to Manos de Amor, you will touch the life of a child forever.  But you can also leave a lasting impression on the building itself by commissioning a Tile for Hope for our walls.

Jennifer Weber is a local artist who graciously donates her work to create the tiles that you design to commemorate your visit and your donation.

Jennifer says:

Tiles For Hope is a program that has been created to raise funds, both locally and from abroad, to further benefit the children living at Manos de Amor. Few people know that Mexico has one of the highest poverty rates in the world. Many simply consider it as a tropical destination for vacationing, with beautiful beaches and fine resorts. It is indeed that, but a large proportion of Mexico’s population is in dire need.

We have many fund raising initiatives, but our tile program is one way you can both support the education and care of these children and also provide a unique gift to someone special. A ‘Tile for Hope’ makes a great memorial to someone special or is a distinctive way to commemorate an anniversary, wedding or birthday. Better yet, let us create a personal “family tile” in honor of your

Each clay tile is hand painted with your requests and then fired in the kiln at Casa Morada Ceramic Gallery in Bucerias. The tile is later embedded into the wall at the orphanage as a forever keepsake
for your family, friends and loved ones.

Just fill out the requisition form found at the Tiles for Hope website and click on the PayPal link to make your donation. You can also order a tile if you give a cash gift at Manos de Amor.

Help us build our tile wall and please, feel free to come and visit us in Bucerias and see your tile for yourself.  Better yet, if you are going to be in our area, you can make an appointment and come to Casa Morada Gallery yourself and paint your own tile. It’s a fun way to spend an afternoon for a worthy cause. We welcome you and your generosity!
